The New Stuff

CD Packaging: Brain in a Box

If you want to put something in your living room that would start a conversation, this is it! This is pop culture sci-fi coolness in a box. Your guests will not only be talking about the brilliant aluminum packaging, the sci-fi geeks and film buffs would also be discussing about their favorite sci-fi flicks while they listen to the soundtracks and flip through the 200-page book.

The Brain in a Box: The Science Fiction Collection is the Grammy Award Winner for Best Boxed Recording in 2002. The 6.5-inch square, metal-covered cube has 3-D lenticular images of brains and all sorts of sci-fi coolness on the outside.

It contains 5 CDs with 2000 science fiction (sci-fi) soundtracks, a 200-page book containing many wonderful sci-fi images and posters from all of the classics as well as 5 compact discs with movie themes, TV themes, Pop music, Incidental and Lounge music, and a CD containing ‘novelty’ sounds and music! Movie themes include “The Rocky Horror Picture Show“, “Forbidden Planet“, “The Day The Earth Stood Still“, “Creature From The Black Lagoon“, “Aliens”, and MANY more!

This set is not cheap- around $150 for brand new, and $70 for used.
