Cool Band Stickers to Get Inspiration From

Band stickers aren’t just something you come up with so that the kids who can’t afford your CD and shirts would still have something to take home with them. Well, sure, that too, but that’s not the main reason. Do not underestimate band stickers! They not only help you brand your band, they’re more visible compared to a band shirt and other merch. If they stick your sticker to their laptops or to their cars, voila! All their friends would see it and ask questions. If they stick it to their mirrors, then they’d be reminded of the greatness of your band every single day. Something as powerful as this should be expensive, right? But it’s the cheapest merch you can make!

To make sure they will really stick your sticker, it has to look really good. These kids encounter so many stickers and band merchandise during concerts. You have to make sure that yours stands out.  Here are some examples of awesome band stickers:

THE RAMONES BAND STICKER

Not sure if this was actually sold on their website, but caricatures of band members certainly is a good idea for a band sticker especially if you’re already as popular as The Ramones. It’s something cute and since it’s a sticker, it would bring out the fans child-like side.

THE WHITE STRIPES BAND STICKER

What I love about this is that there’s no band name or faces but the design automatically says “White Stripes.” It’s something that the other fans can easily identify which makes it a sort of secret.

SIGUR ROS BAND STICKER

I simply love the simplicity of this. It stands out because the design itself is catchy without trying too hard.

GRATEFUL DEAD BAND STICKER

This one works because of the concept. We see the colorful moon and sun and nature which suggests life and then we also see a skull which signifies death.

All of these stickers have good designs but what makes a good and effective design? What if you’re not yet as popular as KISS or The Rolling Stones, what kind of stickers should you make and how should you distribute them?
