Seal the Deal with Bluray Packaging

The last two decades have seen a monumental jump in movie equipment. From bulky VHS cassettes that had to be rewound, to DVDs that were prone to scratching and skipping, the world has finally arrived at Blu-ray technology. These small discs store information at an incredibly high resolution, bringing theatre-quality pictures to the living room. Those in the business of making movies are responsible for delivering a product that will satisfy their customers, and this includes the look and storage of the disc it comes on. Blu-ray packaging is thus very important to make sure that a film gets the respect and protection that it deserves.

Proper casing for Blu-ray discs is a concern of both professional and amateur filmmakers. Whether creating one copy of a home video or tens of thousands of copies of the latest Hollywood blockbuster, the sensitive recordings need to be protected. This is traditionally done with a clear blue plastic case. The appealing and modern box reminds the consumer that the product is authentic to the razor-sharp quality they trust.

The case is just the beginning of the Blu-ray packaging, however, as it needs to be decorated with a catchy design. The font, picture, arrangement, and colors all must be carefully planned out in order to attract the eye of potential customers. If the disc is just for personal use, a well-executed cover can still make a mediocre movie look impressive.

But reaching these final stages of production requires many prerequisite steps. First a movie must be duplicated with a specialized company. The duplication service can also format the disc so that it is protected from piracy. This stage of the process can take a little over a week. Once the movies are copied, they are ready to be placed into their homes and sold or given away. Blu-ray packaging is an essential step in making sure that the disc stays clean and unscratched, and that the movie it contains is shown in its best light.
